Clay and Chris’ journey began with a simple vision: to fill the bellies of their community with hearty, home-spun comfort food. This dream became a reality with the opening of The Little Corner Sandwich Shop in 2019. Their shop quickly became a local favourite, known for its delicious and affordable food, sourced from local farms and bakeries.

However, as they operated their restaurant, they encountered a significant challenge that many small businesses face—the lack of transparency from suppliers, particularly those in the paper and packaging industry. This challenge hit hard during recession-like times when every penny mattered. They needed quality supplies without the premium cost, but found themselves battling inflated prices, uncertain and sporadic delivery and inconsistent quality.

Driven by their firsthand experience and frustrations, Clay and Chris decided to pivot. In 2023, they sold The Little Corner Sandwich Shop to embark on a new venture, Canadian Box and Paper, aiming to supply other businesses with high-quality, affordable packaging solutions. Their mission was clear: to offer unparalleled customer service, consistent product quality, and reactive and dependable delivery services that they had once craved as restaurant owners.
